“南投縣埔里鎮農會位於南興街與西安路交叉口，創設於民國四年三月廿八日，名曰埔東信用組合，創設在愛蘭，經於民國廿二年六月十八日改稱為埔西信用購買販賣利用組合，至卅十年二月廿九日合併埔西信用購買販賣利用組合、產業組合、蓄產組合、集荷組合等各團體為埔里鄉農會，復於民國卅五年十一月十日奉令再合併為埔里鎮合作社，仍稱埔里鎮農會，延改迄今已有七十年歷史，全賴黨政全力輔導及選聘任職員之通力合作、經營，而奠定今日之基礎。”
