“横手マリア園 yokote maria en（〒013－0025横手市寿町7－25）は、昭和５年５月１２日、ドイツ人宣教師ガブリエル神父（神言修道会会員）によって横手駅前に託児所として開設され昭和１２年６月、現在地に移転しました。昭和２３年５月児童福祉法により保育所として認可され、現在に至っております。平成元年７月末には、創立６０周年を記念して新園舎が完成し、キリスト教の精神を基本として、「暖かいふれあいの中で育つ子ども」をモットーに、乳幼児の福祉と教育の向上に貢献すべく、日々努力を重ねております。”
