Why we built it
We have run Drag, a shared inbox for Gmail teams, since 2017. In March 2026 we started building a crawler for our own use. We wanted to know which tools a company runs from evidence on its own website, not from a guess in a database that nobody could check.
The results were good enough to share. In May 2026 we made AgentData free for everyone, on the web, through a REST API and through an MCP server that AI agents can call. Today it holds 11M company profiles and 3,625 technologies, with 292K email addresses verified.
How a fact gets onto a page
Find the website
Our list of websites comes from open sources such as Overture Maps and from links we find while crawling. It holds 128M websites. US businesses are crawled first.
Read it
AgentDataBot fetches the public pages of the site, names itself in every request and obeys robots.txt. We read the page source, the HTTP headers and the domain's DNS records.
Keep the evidence
Each technology is stored with how it was detected and the dates we first and last saw it. Each email address is stored with where it came from.
Verify contacts
Email addresses are checked with the receiving mail server. An address guessed from a company's email format is shown only when two real addresses back that format, and it is labelled as a guess.
Add open data
Some facts are better sourced elsewhere. Employee counts and founding years come from Wikidata first, and every value is labelled with where it came from.
Look again
Profiles are re-crawled on a schedule and whenever someone opens one that is out of date. A tool we stop seeing is marked inactive rather than left on the page.
How we check our own data
Every morning, independently of the crawler, we pick freshly crawled companies at random and re-check every technology we claim for them against separate vendor signatures. It scored 98.9% on its first run, and we only add crawl capacity while it stays at 98% or above.
Every night, shown profiles are checked field by field against the companies' own websites, and each field is measured against its own accuracy bar. Coverage, verification and freshness are published on the live data page.

Where does the data come from?
Mostly from companies' own public websites, read by our crawler, AgentDataBot, which identifies itself and obeys robots.txt. Technologies are detected from page source, HTTP headers and DNS records. Employee counts and founding years come from Wikidata first. Every value is labelled with its source.
How accurate is it?
We check it every day. Technologies we claim are re-checked against independent vendor signatures on a random sample of freshly crawled companies, and the check scored 98.9% on its first run. Every shown field is also measured against its own accuracy bar.
Do you use LinkedIn data?
No. We do not collect data from linkedin.com in any form.
How do I remove my details or correct a fact?
Use the data removal page or email privacy@agentdata.run to remove your details. To correct a fact about your company, claim its page from the company profile or email support@agentdata.run.
